Women Empowerment and Indian Society!

      The  rich cultural society of India got its roots  thousands of years back; and from that time period  importance of women had been above all. According to mythology and Vedas; we got four yugas and the very first yuga is called the SATYA YUGA, also referred to as the “golden age” . Goddess DHARMA stood on all its four legs. It was the most respected  time period for women. COW the most pious animal in India  is called “Gaymata” . even an animal is addressed mata; it shows the value , the respect we had for females in our ancient past. In SATYA yuga goddess dharma had four pillars and now in KALYUGA down to immortal age of KALI yuga; she stands on one leg. In the same way the value and respect of women in the society is deteriorated and is more downtrodden than ever. From addressing  a women as Devi and following the matriarchal way of life to making schemes for uplifting women and their growth in all fields, we are witnessing the awry of women in India.To enact  reservation specially for women so that they can make their own independent life; time ascended, just as their plights did.

    In 21^st century; India is one of the leading nations in the race of developing nations to become a developed nation. It is growing in fields of industrial growth. Improvising international policies for trade, developing itself to be self armed and my make in India initiative; provoking startups- MODI government is laying their benison on youth,  so as to reduce brain – drain by making tech hubs and industrial sector. But with this internationally reclaimed  policies,  the government is making policies for women empowerment. Making reservations in govt sectors. Passing maternity bills in the government, so women can get enough rest and spend  more time with the infant she gave birth to.  Passing such laws and bills in the house; by a nation which had a respectful and  rich cultured history regarding women, today we are  definitely facing an embarrassing scenario.
When once women were the queens ;  wrath  of goddesses would destroy the earth. Even in KALYUG ; where warrior queens like RANI LAKSHMI BAI fought battles with her infant tied by her side. Isn’t  it unsettling and even ironical that even after 69 years of independence Indian women got chance to be fighter pilots? So after independence did India became  more conservative or more protective if a decision like this took so much time. After  70 years women personnel  indulging in Indian army increased on mass scale. Definitely all these acts prove manifesto of government true. But these many years for such amendments. It’s more diabolical  than logical.

Today women not only tread in each and every sector where  men have treaded before but have also pristine footprints to their name. “Miss Anny Divya” being the youngest Indian women to  pilot a commercial airline ,  “Kalpana Chawla” the first Indian women astronaut. Having a women defense minister “ Mrs. Nirmala sitharaman” indian women are everywhere clinching new feat’s ; proving the chauvinist wrong. Along with chauvinist  they have even proved the hypocrisy of Indian orthodox society wrong. From kitchen( as per the befuddled  society) to  being pilot of fighter jet ;Ladies like Miss Avani, Miss Bhavana, and Miss Mohana proved them wrong. Where the old school people thing Women are better behind the veil; Indian girls like PV Sindhu, Phogat sisters , Dipa Karmakar startled them by showing how they can compete as good as boys in sports where wearing traditional clothes is as much as possible as void .

   Govt policies for uplifting women is on a track of success. Feminism has risen to compete the male dominant society THIS is FAR enough and in many cases is on the same page as the males. But the policies are made  discretely for the purpose of uplifting women and bringing justice for women , and giving them equality. But along with women like Gauri Lankesh, and Irom sharmila,  we also got the pioneers in the field of Pseudo feminism like Barkha Dutt;  Priyanka Chopra. They are the fodder feeders to  those pseudo feminist and human rights activist who just want something to feed upon. When a male comments on a topic of marriage disrespecting women he’s a misogynist pig and luminary of women violence. But when women like fame dusted actress Priyanka chopra comments “ I want man only for having baby” 

they are those perptuator for each independent women in India. They are the pioneers in women empowerment. During such time human activist or the great indian FEMINIST wont come up on stage and mark it “derogatory and biased”. They would just pry on the scenario and  publish their articles depending on the publicity and money they can make on the topic.

           But just for  some pseudo feminist in the country of 1.3 billion people we can't stop the revolution and growth of women in the society. They are rising to the level they should be , they are ascending towards the throne they need to capture. Legends say KALYUG will end as another incarnation of Lord Vishnu will ascend and wrath will destroy earth, maybe goddess KALI will take revenge of the discrimination, torture, pain, women have faced . Maybe the incarnation will be out of all odds a women. Till that happens, we can all collectively attempt at bettering things. In the discourse  Mahatma Gandhi's quote will be apt,

“Woman, I hold is the personification of self sacrifice,but unfortunately today she does not realize what tremendous power she has over men”
