RBI
or SUPREME COURT
Who
exemplified better Prudence?
Ostensibly 2017 was revolutionary year in India due to
multiple legal and fiscal amendments constitutionalized by Indian government.
Alongside cynical move of GST implementation by government, virtuous act of
rendering triple Talaq illegal. Citizens were always in turmoil waiting for the
next sorcery of government.
In 2017, the topmost body of India protecting our laws,
“SUPREME COURT” worked efficiently by passing laws and providing judgment to
many pending cases. Some of the important laws passed and judgments given
are:
·
.Triple Talaq Unconstitutional
Haughty topic of divorce was the reason
behind scuffle in the most
controversial religion of India. Triple Talaq was malevolent for Muslim women,
especially from rural India. They were given justice when triple talaq was
declared unconstitutional. Muslim
marriages in India are considered to be a private matter, unless the couple
decided to register their marriage under the Special marriage act. Owing to these historical factors,
the checks that have been placed on the husband's unilateral right of divorce
by governments of other countries and the prohibition of triple talaq were not
implemented in India.
Considering the plight of women many debates involving clerics took
place in India. On 10 May 2017, senior cleric Maulana Syed Shahabuddin Salafi Firdausi
denounced triple talaq and nikkah halala calling them un-Islamic
practices and instruments to oppress women
On 22
August 2017, the Indian Supreme Court deemed instant triple talaq (talaq-e-biddah)
unconstitutional.
·
Sex With Minor Wife Is Rape.
Another law protecting women, was
passed. Having an intimate relationship with wife without her consent below who
is a minor will be deemed as rape. And prosecution will take place taking in
account the procedural methods of rape. Still in many rustic place of India,
minor marring happens. In such cases protecting the female and giving her the
best opportunity to curate her life by developing her potentials will be
possible, because of such law.
·
Seeking Vote In The Name Of Religion/Caste Is
Corrupt Practice.
The
methodology which ruined India for this many years has been remarked unlawful.
Policies of politics aims their vote bank, on the basis of caste creed and
religion. Campaigning tactics and manifestos of parties work accordingly. The
euphemistic remark of Supreme Court can be concluded as “don’t fool people
using caste tactics”. This law is remarkable in politics. This will help
citizens to select the government and hear from the government about statistics
and less verbose shit.
·

cases with government is high. For better management and speedy judgment reforms are made in giving justice. One of its important method is speedy disposal of bail pleas.

Uphaar Tragedy: Ansal Sentenced.
The Supreme Court sentenced Uphaar
cinema co-owner 69-year-old Gopal Ansal to imprisonment in the
1997 Uphaar cinema tragedy, which killed 59 cine-goers. Government showed fine
of "Rs 30cr" is not enough to suffice their bowel. Fathom on Ansal family proved
one can’t flee from vicious acts just by wealth & power. Still if same judgment
would have been laid on Salman khan, there would have been less tryst in youth
who don’t support Salman.

policies which laden them to work quickly.
RBI
On 1st
July 2017, GST tax was implemented. GST was proposed in parliament in 2000. Finally
17 years later, the concept was implemented. The main aim of the structure was
to replace many indirect tax laws that previously existed in INDIA. It is one
indirect tax for entire country. “GST is a comprehensive, multi-stage, destination-based tax that will be levied on every value addition.” Goods and
services are divide in 5 tax slabs they are 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%. BY
implementation of GST, cascading effect of tax will be removed. Taxation method
is a virtuoso for SMES and the hypothetical
non- corrupt business magnates. Service sector is affected in a positive manner
by GST. Since various tax are curbed and cocooned it in a single tax.
Along with it, tedious
procedure of paying tax is reduced as the system is made online. The perks of
the system is overall reduction in amount of tax to be paid. The components of GST
are CGST, GST and IGST. Witnessing the perks
of the taxation system many organization which were not registered in the
system will tread on legalizing themelves and getting license. Thus it will regulate
the unorganized sector. This will lead to less tax evasion. Moreover inflation
will be reduced as cascading effect on taxes will be eliminated. Revenue of the
government is very likely to increase with an extended tax net. Exports and FDI
would also increase.
This indirect tax system
under GST improve the collection of taxes as well as boost Indian economy. It will
reduce barriers between states and integrating the country by a uniform tax
rate. Since tax barriers are reduced, various costs in stages are reduced. Thus
total cost on a product or service leading to reduction in total cost. It can
be very well experience as our service providers have reduced their price comparatively.
Thus rates for consumers will be reduced. Moreover
exports will increased. Textile industry has already seen growth in its
exports. The sector contributes 10% of overall exports in country.
The largest employment
sector in India, agriculture which covers 16% of Indian GDP will be affected as
one of the major issues faced by the agricultural sector is transportation of agro-products.
On which intra state GST will be levied.
Make in India project and Indian
youth are very well encouraged by the taxation induced in this system. Removal of
ambiguous tax regime is haven for entrepreneurs as there will be free flow of
goods and services. Moreover for freelancers who had difficulty in the earlier
regime to file their tax will not face those vicissitudes in the present status
quo. Both the sectors are quite famous among youths.
On 8th Nov 2016
in a perplexing move, government announced it would demonetize rs 500 and rs
1000 notes. Thus demonetizing 86% of Indian economy. The ripple effects created
have positive and negative effects. Prescient and nescient - everyone were flabbergasted
by the move. The main motive was to reduce the flow of black money in India.
The latter months were
exasperating, especially to lower and middle class. Even the people living in
affluence were affected by the move and had needles stuck in their routine. There
was a Wave of turmoil in the country. Travel industry was the worst affected. Foreigners
faced a lot of problems. The move was not very well executed considering the
amount of economy demonetized.
Digital payments and
transactions were increased. Even small vendors started accepting money through
digital mode. Fake currency in India became useless. Thus flow of illegal cash
was reduced. The unaccounted money will make way into the
formal channel. This will raise the income tax collections. This raised amount
from income tax will help the government to reduce the fiscal deficit in the
fiscal year 2017. Moreover Kashmir and North -East had a placid
time-period for quite a time. At both places terror groups were powered by
black money. Due to financial emergency their supply was curbed, since the
hawala system was choked.
RBI and Supreme Court both
made some moves that were scintillating and also had long term solution. Supreme Court made laws
and passed judgments which were pending from many years. The laws made
will affect Indian citizens and credo in law system will be re-instated.
But even
though such laws are made, following them or breaking those goes on a
particular human and its mindset. In 2017 many laws were passed, protecting women. But demagogues have
stubborn mind and will continue to act. Recently Asifa rape and murder case
took the lime light. And inferno in country was set ablaze demanding new laws
for punishing culprit. So every now and then there will be requirement of new
laws. Unless and until mindset is not changed and very strict laws are not passed,
such unrest can be seen at certain intervals. Work of supreme court was more
tilted in uplifting the morale of Indian citizens, but considering the rate of development
of India still speedy judgments are awaited. Merciless punishments to certain
crimes are awaited. Laws bringing India on world map are remaining. Though cynical
or politicized move, GST and demonetization left a permanent mark in Indian
history. Acclimatizing to this policies and facing troubles was evanescent. In third
largest economy of world bringing such changes are worth adulating. World Bank
reported India recovered from demonetization and GDP is expected to grow at
7.3% in 2018 and 7.5% in 2019.
India is heaven
for foreign investors. FDI and FPI have increased in India. Considering the stature India has in world, such successful policies and reforms makes it stand
apart from the stereotypes. The time is not away when Chimera will become reality and India will be pioneer in world market
there is even more complicated government
